Regular Services
Contemporary Worship
As part of our commitment to attract, welcome and support children and their families, we hold a 9.30am 'Living Waters' service every Sunday at St Nicholas, Bawtry. 'Living Waters' is very much an inter-generational church service, with contemporary worship, and lasts for one hour. Our Kids meet over in the Church Hall for 'Sundayz Cool' during this time, sharing some time with us all at the start our worship and then rejoining us at the end of the 'Living Waters' service. Communion is celebrated at the fourth 'Living Waters' service of each month.
Traditional Worship
There is an 11.15 am Holy Communion service each week across the Benefice, which is more traditional in style and where hymns are sung. Our benefice gathers together for these services which follow this pattern:
- 1st Sunday - All Saints', Mattersey
- 2nd Sunday - Holy Trinity, Everton
- 3rd Sunday - St Nicholas, Bawtry
- 4th Sunday - St John the Baptist, Misson
- 5th Sunday - St Helena's, Austerfield
At St Nicholas, Bawtry, there are also Evensong services at 6:00 pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month and there is a Holy Communion service at 08:30 am at St Helena's, Austerfield, on the third Sunday of each month.
Please read the monthly notice sheets, available here, for the latest schedule of services within the Benefice
